[VIDEO] See Lockheed Martin’s SOFC Powered Drone in Action

Stalker VXE

SOFCs Enable Vertical Takeoff & Landing in Lockheed Martin’s Compact Stalker VXE. Here’s how.

Lockheed Martin developed the Stalker in 2006 to be used for military applications, such as providing intelligence, surveillance, and target acquisition. Recently, they launched the Stalker VXE, which is an operationally proven, small and silent Group 2 Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) that provides unprecedented long-endurance imaging capability in a variety of contested environments and is in use by Special Forces around the world.

The new Stalker VXE is an easy-to-transport and compact UAS. Thanks to the simplicity and high power to weight ratio of our D450 SOFC, it’s also easy to assemble and power – even by a single person. And that D450 packs a lot of power. The UAV is field-proven for 8+ hours of flight time and more than 50 landing cycles.

Want to see it in action? Check out the video below for a look at how Stalker VXE operates.
